Sniffles & Snacks Account Deletion
⚠️ Important Warning
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before proceeding with your account deletion request.
What Gets Deleted
When you request to delete your Sniffles & Snacks account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Your Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials
- Pet Profiles: All pet information including names, species, breeds, ages, allergies, and medical conditions
- Scan History: All food scans, ingredient analyses, and safety assessments
- Subscription Data: Your subscription status and payment history
- App Settings: All preferences and customizations
- User-Generated Content: Any notes or saved items within the app
What We Keep
For legal and operational purposes, we may retain certain information for a limited time:
- Transaction Records: Payment history may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes (as required by law)
- Aggregated Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you personally
- Legal Compliance: Data required to be retained by law or to resolve disputes
📅 Retention Period
Most personal data is deleted immediately upon request. Some data may be retained for up to 30 days during the deletion process to ensure proper removal from backups and systems.
How to Request Account Deletion
You have two options to delete your Sniffles & Snacks account:
Option 1: Delete from Within the App (Recommended)
- Open the Sniffles & Snacks app on your device
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Scroll down to "Account Management"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Read the warning and confirm deletion
- If you signed up with email/password, enter your password to confirm
- Your account will be deleted immediately
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, please contact us:
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed as follows:
- In-App Deletion: Immediate (account deleted instantly)
- Email Requests: Processed within 7 business days
- Complete Data Removal: Up to 30 days for complete removal from all systems and backups

- Clear App Data: You can clear local data while keeping your account
- Contact Support: We're here to help with any problems
- Take a Break: Simply log out - you can return anytime
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will be immediately signed out of the app
- You will no longer be able to access your pet profiles or scan history
- Your subscription (if active) will be cancelled
- You will receive a confirmation email (if deletion was requested via email)
- You can create a new account anytime, but previous data cannot be recovered
